Cotswold Networking

Connecting Business & Professional People

Cotswold Networking is a friendly, social business networking group with the aim of connecting a group of growth-oriented business and professional people, who want to be inspired by others, make long-lasting business relationships, learn new things and build their businesses.

We believe that Networking should be fun, energising, worthwhile and something you look forward to, so we would love you to join our Growing Members Network in the Cotswolds.

Why do Networking?

Networking is a business and personal marketing tool that will help deliver your overall business and marketing strategy.

Regular face-to-face networking gives people a chance to build deeper relationships and increase trust. This increased trust often leads to more qualified referrals, longer professional relationships, and more profitable transactions.

As part of a targeted marketing plan, we recommend business professionals be part of at least one face-to-face networking group.

Word of mouth is possibly the most trusted introduction when a business is looking for a new supplier. If a member, who they already trust can refer you, you are far more likely to get the business.
Because networking is a personal form of communication and usually involves face-to-face contact, networking deepens your business’s connections.

Never underestimate the power of an active, trusting and growing network. Networking is about getting to know people. These people may or may not help you or your business, but they will introduce you to new people. And more new people. Be patient. Make friends.

Having never taken part in any arranged networking groups, I felt now was the right time to get involved. Angela ‘s Cotswold Networking group felt like the perfect opportunity, and I already know I’ve made the right decision.

It’s a fantastic group, with a real mix of businesses and experience, with us all already feeling the benefits even in these early days. Well done Angela and Simon, and thank you!

How to make the most of our Networking Group

Networking is a two-way street. It’s not just about what people can do for you, but what you can do for them as well. Connect thoughtfully. Ask people about themselves. Talk about their projects. Offer considered thoughts. Give advice if they ask. Successful networking requires give-and-take, but who knows who you’ll meet?

The key is also to follow up. Take your connection to the next level and get to know your new contact as a real person rather than an opportunity to boost your business. Follow up with an invitation to coffee or another industry event.

How does it work?

We have an open structure where more than one person from each business category can become a member. We believe that different people will have different experience, knowledge and skills and so having a choice of connections will be of more benefit to the group.

“Cotswold Networking is everything a networking group should be…making connections, referrals, doing business…whilst getting to know local businesses, making friends and socialising over a nice glass of wine. What more could you want! Thanks Angela & Simon for getting the balance right and bringing such a fab group to the area.”
