Cotswold Networking launches in Royal Wootton Bassett

Our ninth group opens this September at The View Gallery, bringing Cotswold Networking to Royal Wootton Bassett, Swindon and the surrounding areas

I am pleased to announce that this September, Cotswold Networking is launching a brand new group in Royal Wootton Bassett, aimed at businesses across Royal Wootton Bassett, Swindon and the surrounding areas. It is our newest and most exciting group, taking us to nine, and it takes us into Swindon for the very first time.

I launched Cotswold Networking in 2022 at the wonderful Old Bell Hotel in Malmesbury, with one simple aim: to help local businesses reconnect and support one another as we emerged from the lockdowns. It struck a chord straight away, so I opened more groups over the following years, and it has grown into something rather special: eight flourishing groups across Malmesbury, Cirencester, Cheltenham, Bath, Bristol, Witney, Corsham and Worcester. Each one meets once a month in a wonderful venue, in the evening from 7 to 9:30pm, apart from Witney which meets in the morning. Every meeting features a guest speaker drawn from our own members, and is built around our signature around-the-table networking, a format that makes sure everyone in the room is heard.

That format is a big part of why our groups work so well. So many of our members have grown in confidence as well as in business, stepping up to speak, collaborate and share their expertise, and the number of partnerships and joint ventures that have come out of our meetups has been amazing to watch. People tell us they have never experienced another networking group quite like ours, and they keep coming back for the relaxed atmosphere and the real sense of community.

About the new group

Royal Wootton Bassett has a strong, lively business community, and opening here stretches us beyond our Cotswold heartland into a whole new pool of businesses we cannot wait to welcome in. The group will meet once a month, on a Thursday, at The View Gallery, in the evening from 7 to 9:30pm, with the same warm welcome, guest speaker and plenty of time to make connections that you find across all our groups.

Launch evening: Thursday 17 September

Our launch evening takes place at The View Gallery, with two fantastic speakers lined up: Fiona Scott of Scott Media and Jon White of Gold Traders. A huge thank you to Jon, who owns The View Gallery and has opened his doors to give this new community a truly special home. Early bird tickets are on sale now, and every ticket includes a welcome drink on arrival.

Founder Memberships are now open

Membership is £40 plus VAT per month, and if you sign up as a Founder Member now and pay monthly, you pay nothing until September. Founder Members also receive your own page on the Cotswold Networking website straight away, an exclusive online meetup before the launch evening, a goodie bag on the night, free entry to the launch event, and early access to our Circle online community, a friendly space to keep the introductions and support going between meetups.

A new Group Leader from October

From October, I am delighted to be handing the reins to the brilliant Fiona Scott of Scott Media as permanent Group Leader, and this group becomes a fixture on the Royal Wootton Bassett business calendar. Fiona is one of the most well-connected PR professionals in the region, with deep roots in the local business and media landscape and a real gift for bringing people together. Fiona knows everyone, and everyone knows Fiona. There is no better person to build this community.
