Malmesbury Designer Shortlisted for National Sustainable Floristry Award

A Wiltshire entrepreneur’s kitchen-table idea is set to bloom on a national stage. Jennifer Susan, creator of the Halliesphere — a sustainable, British-made floral design tool — has been shortlisted for the Interflora Sustainable Floristry Innovation Award 2025.

Inspired when she placed cut garden forget-me-nots in her Halliesphere and saw them thrive for more than three weeks, Jennifer created a product that allows anyone to arrange flowers like a professional — without single-use floral foam.

Since launching after lockdown, over 3,000 Halliespheres have been sold, with both ceramic and recycled acrylic versions made entirely in Britain. Florists and home arrangers alike praise it as a “game changer” that makes stunning, balanced arrangements effortless while supporting seasonal, UK-grown flowers.

The winner will be chosen by public vote and announced at the Harrogate Autumn Fair (19–21 September).
