Emily Day Interiors was founded by Emily Dreelan, who has worked in the interior design industry for almost 20 years. Beginning her career at just 17 styling show homes, Emily’s experience spans roles as a junior and freelance designer, construction project manager, and positions within architectural practices. Coming from a family of furniture designers, she has been surrounded by textiles, colour, and pattern from birth. Emily holds a BSc from Cardiff University, where her dissertation focused on the regeneration of urban living environments, and went on to complete formal design studies at the KLC School of Design and the British Academy of Interior Design, combining academic insight with hands-on creative expertise.
A certified colour expert and SBID Registered Designer, Emily is recognised for her specialist knowledge in colour implementation in living environments and colour psychology. Her work has been featured on The List by House & Garden and Homestyle Magazine, highlighting her thoughtful, client-centred approach. In 2024, after nearly two decades in the industry, Emily launched her own studio, Emily Day Interiors, to bring her vision and experience directly to her clients.
The studio undertakes a wide variety of projects, including full house renovations, designer rental refurbishments, small commercial spaces, bespoke cabinetry and soft furnishings, and colour consultations. Emily collaborates closely with trusted local suppliers and craftspeople, ensuring each project reflects lasting quality and authenticity. Her philosophy embraces enduring, considered design, rejecting fast fashion and fleeting social media trends in favour of spaces that are timeless, personal, and built to last.
