Founding Gold Traders
I founded Gold Traders with a clear commercial focus, bringing transparency, efficiency, and fair pricing into the precious metals market. While the business is well-known for its ethical buying practices, its growth has increasingly been driven by the sale of investment-grade bullion, including gold and silver coins and bars, to private investors.
Gold Traders now supplies a wide range of bullion products to customers across the UK, supported by live pricing, same-day processing, and secure delivery. A key milestone was becoming an official partner of The Royal Mint, and we are currently the only official partner in the South West. This allows us to offer brand-new bullion coins and bars direct to investors, alongside competitively priced pre-owned bullion.
Accreditation, Growth, and Recognition
A major milestone came when Gold Traders became the first precious metals dealer in the UK to achieve Trading Standards Buy With Confidence accreditation. This involved a full inspection of the entire customer journey, from initial online quote through to testing, valuation, and same-day payment. That accreditation remains a cornerstone of how the business operates.
More recently, Gold Traders achieved official partner status with The Royal Mint, and is currently the only official partner in the South West. This reflects both the scale of the operation and its reputation for professionalism and compliance within the bullion industry.
Expanding Into Coins and Auctions
Working closely with precious metals naturally led to numismatics and collectables. This resulted in the launch of The Coin Company, which specialises in numismatic and high-value collectible coins, including exclusive and limited-issue releases.
The business group later expanded further with the creation of RWB Auctions, also based in Royal Wootton Bassett. RWB Auctions was designed to modernise the traditional auction model, combining fair commissions with a welcoming, high-street auction environment.
Across all three businesses, the focus remains the same, transparency, fair dealing, and building long-term trust with customers, rather than chasing short-term gains.
