Are you a fan? I can’t say whether I am or not, but as we kick off the year there’s no doubt it’s an easy way of using the first day of 2023 to try and set down a few markers.
I recently had a PR Power Hour with Fiona Scott from Scott Media, and one of her many pointers was that I should be more active on my LinkedIn page, especially as I’m looking to grow my corporate client base. As a business, I already take care of the Instagram and Facebook social stuff, yet seem to shy away from LinkedIn, but Fiona pointed out that it’s the fastest growing platform available and I should look to try and harness that.
I’m now at the beginning of Year 3 with Truffle & Thyme – time seriously does fly – and I’ve set myself a challenge for this year, to see how I can really push myself and the business. An integral part of that plan is ensuring as many people know about Truffle & Thyme as possible. It sounds obvious really – doesn’t it – but when you’ve got your head down and bum up ‘doing the do’, you’ve still got to remember to market yourself.
So, with all of the above in mind, 2023 will see me attending more Networking Events/groups – including Cotswold Networking Cirencester – and generally trying to raise my profile outside of Instagram and Facebook, which I’m fast learning are only going to take me so far. I’m also going to be ‘asking for help’ more from those around me whom I’ve not wanted to bother – this is going to be one of the hardest ones for me to crack!
