Howden are one of the UK’s largest independent insurance brokers, Howden was founded 30 years ago by three young brokers and a dog named Flight. David Howden began winning their first clients with a focus on exceptional customer service. That focus remains true to this day, as we continue to serve local people, locally, including here in Swindon.

I started my working career in the hospitality industry from slinging cocktails out in late night bars to managing country house hotels and assisting with wedding co-ordination. Then the time came after 10 years in hospitality for me to move into a different sector and start working some more sociable hours.
I started with Howden in 2019 working in the personal lines new business team, working my way up to new business manager back in 2022. Looking to progress my career further I started learning the commercial insurance sector in June 2024 and started trading for the commercial new business team in August 2024 helping the branch growing the book of clients and taking every opportunity to impress and delight our clients with my service and advice.
I’m a keen traveller, any opportunity to jet off somewhere I’ll take it! Mixology (cocktails) is one of my hobbies and I enjoy making them for myself much more than for customers on a Saturday night.
